Caught Orson Welles' 1941 classic Citizen Kane at the Prince Charles Cinema, Leicester Square. Seeing it on the big screen projected from 35mm was fabulous. The emulsion scratches, dodgy change over dots, and jumpy image somehow only added to the experience.

Fabulous screening BAFTA tonight. Powell & Pressburger's 1946 classic, A Matter of Life and Death. Unbelievable to think it is 80 years old this year. Without doubt one of the finest films ever made. Definitely would've got my vote if it was on the long list this year.
