So stoked to be reading from Turkeyfoot at Healing Appalachia this Saturday! I’ll be set up signing books as well! Such a powerful community who’s raising awareness and money for recovery in Appalachia!

Appalachian Lit, Day 64, "Lambs of Men" by Charles Dodd White. Charles is an absolutely gorgeous writer and all of his books are worth reading. This is my favorite though, this book of damaged people trying to co-exist in difficult terrain. Read Charles, not conspiracy theorist #Vance

After anticipating the day for so long it is hard to believe that Turkeyfoot has been out in the world for one whole week. I have been genuinely shocked (and tickled) by how many of you have already read this thing. I’ve had so many kind souls reach out to compliment the book and

Last week was so much fun. Caught up on a lot of grading last night, now my foot is really sore. I’m not saying those two things are correlated in any way, but I also don’t want to rule it out.
