Pleased to meet with Mr. Mustafa Sahin, President of Eurasia Group 🇨🇭, the official distributor of John Deere USA agricultural machinery in Kazakhstan. Discussed opportunities to promote local assembly of tractors in Kostanai, financing agricultural projects, and public healthcare.

During my visit to Schaffhausen, met with Mr. Mathias Holenstein, Head of International Georg Fischer, to discuss GF’s advanced technologies and piping solutions. Invited GF to explore Kazakhstan’s competitive investment framework and consider localization opportunities.

Held substantive discussions with senior leadership at Swiss Re on reinsurance and business guarantees, export insurance in Eurasia, natural disaster risk coverage, and nuclear energy. Also explored opportunities linked to the #MiddleCorridor and #Kazakhstan’s geoeconomic role.

In Zurich, met Christoph Ganz, Sika Regional President, and Emrah Ertin, Area Manager. Discussed our successful partnership and future prospects in #Kazakhstan’s construction sector, with Sika’s plants supporting key infrastructure growth 🇰🇿🤝🇨🇭.

Had a thoughtful conversation with Mr. Filippo Lombardi, coordinator of 🇰🇿🇨🇭 Interparliamentary Friendship Group, on constitutional reform in #Kazakhstan, drawing on his extensive experience in governance and parliamentary practice, and on bilateral cooperation and future events.

Kazakhstan is boosting its strategy to attract investment in high-tech industries. President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev said at the government meeting on Feb 10 that priorities include rare earth metals, oil&gas chemistry, digital infrastructure, renewable energy, transport, and agro-processing.
