Comd, GM and RSM QG SIGNALS paid a visit to the Gukhha Museum team in Winchester to foster a collaborative working environment where both teams could support each other in preserving and promoting the heritage, history, and ethos of the Gurkha Soldier, Paltan, and Bde of Gurkhas.

QG SIGNALS PUBLIC DUTIES RECCE Comd, GM and RSM QG SIGNALS along with other members of the Regiment recced several locations in London for public duty preparation as part of Paltan’s 75th Anniversary celebration. The team was hosted by the Headquarters Household Division.

RHQ QG SIGNALS welcomed CO 1 Sig Regt, 3 Sig Regt, 22 Sig Regt and OC 247 Gurkha Sig Sqn representing CO 16 Sig Regt in the RHQ QG SIGNALS with a special focus on Recruit Intake 2023 Trainees. RI23 Induction team briefed their trg progress and COs gave insight of their unit.

QG SIGNALS Trainees Intake 2023 visited 242, 247, 248 and 250 Gurkha Sig Sqn to learn about their communication systems and responsibilities. They also visited the Gurkha Museum in Winchester to understand the rich Gurkha history and their contributions to various conflicts.

The QG SIGNALS Recruit Intake 2023 (RI23) Attestation and Commissioning parade was conducted at Gamecock Barracks, Bramcote on 28 Feb 24. 42 Gurkha trainees and 2 recently commissioned Gurkha Officers officially attested and commissioned respectively according to the tradition.

It’s an exciting year for the QG SIGNALS who will celebrate their 75th anniversary in Sept. For 42 new soldiers, yesterday was especially poignant as they completed their attestation parade. With 450 people on parade it was a fantastic day. Gurkha Brigade Association The Gurkha Museum Trust

The QG SIGNALS WOs' & SNCOs' Development Package and Dinner Night took place at Bramcote from 27 - 29 Feb 24. The event featured a variety of speakers on different topics, QGS Vision workshop, and a formal dinner night which was attended by the R SIGNALS Corps Col and Corps SM.

WO1 (RSM) Subash Thapa and SSgt Samir Rai were awarded the Army Sgt Maj Coin. Army Sergeant Major Coin is a prestigious acknowledgement of exceptional service, leadership, professionalism and role models for their fellow soldiers. Jai Paltan!!!

74 SPs attended Pre-STTT Drill Trg at Bramcote from 18 - 22 Mar 24, where they adapted heavy drills (foot, arms and sword drills) including dress inspection. QG SIGNALS will provide Public Duties Reinforcement Company from 19 Apr to 27 Jun 24 to commemorate its 75th Anniversary.

QG SIGNALS passed their Fit for Role Inspection yesterday at the Wellington Barracksin London. It is a huge honour, that Queen's Gurkha Signals will undertake the King's Guard from 19 Apr - 27 Jun 24 at Royal palaces to commemorate its 75th Anniversary. Jai Paltan!!!

On 2 May 24, the RHQ QG SIGNALS conducted a Dinner Night at St James Palace. The event was attended by His Excellency Mr Gyan Chandra Acharya, the Ambassador of Nepal for the UK and the Col of the Regt including other guests.

On 8 May 24, the Col of the Regt, Brig M Fayers addressed the QG SIGNALS PDRC King's Guard in the presence of Comd of 7 Sig Group, Colonel C Dixon and the CO 1 Sig Regt, Lt Col E Vickers. From 8 - 9 May 24, the Comd and GM QG SIGNALS visited the PDRC at all locations.

On Fri 28 Jun 24 the QG SIGNALS bid a farewell to the 27th Gurkha Major, Maj Deepak Rai MVO, and his family. The event concludes with a warm welcome to his successor, Maj Suresh Limbu, the 28th Gurkha Major, and his family. Jai QG SIGNALS!!!

During the Queen's Gurkha Signals Public Duties role in London, Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal, inspected the Detachment at St.James's Palace. Jai QG SIGNALS!!!

Unit Capbadging for Recruit Intake 2024 in Gurkha Company, Infantry Training Centre Catterick. 48 Trainees will be joining QG SIGNALS at the end of this year on completion of their basic training. Jai QG SIGNALS!!!
