*Shah-i-Zinda — “The Living King”* Samarkand, Uzbekistan Honoured to visit the sacred resting place of Sayyiduna Qutham ibn Abbas, the noble cousin of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and a close companion.

He is believed to be the last Sahabi to have seen the Prophet ﷺ before being martyred while spreading Islam in this region. His maqam in Samarkand stands at the heart of the Shah I Zinda complex, surrounded by centuries of Islamic architecture, devotion, and history.

The serene beauty of this site is matched only by the legacy it preserves, a timeless symbol of sacrifice and unwavering faith. May Allah allow us to attain His blessings and allow us to walk in the footsteps of the righteous. Ameen.
