This morning is our Creative Connections Skype session between Parkway 5th Grade students and our partner school in Guatemala. Thank you Mrs. Steele and our PTA for supporting this amazing experience for our students!

The art work from our friends in Guatemala is truly spectacular! Our students were able to ask questions of the artists in Spanish and in English, via translator and Creative Connections host, Miguel.

Ruben is teaching our 5th grade students how to use the Cricket Loom to weave yarn into beautiful wall hangings! This is a traditional process used in Central America & South America. Thank you Senora Epron and the Parkway PTA for supporting this wonderful learning opportunity!

Fifth Grade students used what they have learned about sound to create their own musical instruments. A great example of how the Engineering Design Process is used by students to innovate!

Busy morning at Parkway- Books and Bagels at 8am and then STEAM time for parents with Mrs. Attanasio. Some great cantilevers were created! A great window for parents into what STEAM time looks like for our kids.
