In 2007, I held my firstborn in my arms as I graduated from high school as a teenage mom. This June, he graduated from high school with honors, and today we moved him into ODU (my alma mater) to pursue a degree in engineering! This is why you can’t count anyone out. #grateful

As this new school year begins, here's a few reminders to every teacher across the nation... 1. Every child is brilliant. 2. Every child needs a "spark." 3. You can be the spark for a child.

Teachers... The school year can sometimes feel like it requires your mind to race at 100 mph. There will always be something to do or accomplish. My advice to you is simple, "Pace yourself." Find your rhythm, create systems for self-care, and prioritize effectively.
