Apparently Edmonton Oilers aren't interested in upgrading my seats to something more expensive. The relocation map still sucks!!! Nothing has changed since I shared feedback last year. All the same things still don't work. Maybe someone will take my feedback seriously someday.🙄

Welp. They're doing it. #Barrie City Council are set to pass a bylaw this Wednesday night that criminalizes providing survival items to unhoused people on public property, with zero public engagement. It's undemocratic and it's mean. This is not how we take care of each other.

It is #IndigenousHistoryMonth and this is the story of Shaaw Tláa (Kate Carmack) the often-forgotten person who started the Klondike Gold Rush! Shaaw Tláa was born around 1857 near Bennett Lake. Her name means gumboot mother. In 1888, she married George Carmack. 🧵1/5

To hear what occurred at Leduc City Council meeting last night is appalling. No elected officials should EVER fear for their safety, especially when talking about such things as a Pride Crosswalk. We are better than this.

Serious question… If Smith and the UCP go ahead with an Alberta Pension Plan or Revenue Agency, will that in any way cause you to consider moving out of the province? Please RT! #abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli

I get why this is an issue, but at the same time there are other ways to get the info & going to the original source website is usually the best way to do it. I have never used FB/Meta for my news, even when they allowed it. The algorithms always made it hard to find.

This is an interesting case. The Charter, while protecting your freedom of expression, doesn't mean that you're free of all of the consequences of said expression. Your employer/accrediting body may have standards and ethical considerations that need to be upheld to practice.

Talk of “parental rights” in education is a dog whistle for anti-LGBTQ ideologies. If parents want to know information about their child, just ask your child. If they feel safe and supported, they will tell you. It’s that simple. #cdnpoli

It won't stop at pronouns & preferred names. The next jump will be banning gender-affirming healthcare. First New Brunswick, then Saskatchewan, now Ontario. And if the CPC gets into power it will be right across the board. They're copying the US playbook. cbc.ca/news/politics/…
