Calling the filibuster the "Holy Grail of democracy" is such a great way to say you don't understand democracy. Hurry up and retire, Manchin. You won't be missed. nytimes.com/2024/09/24/us/…

WGBH did some great reporting on a study from Harvard JCHS on what allowing single stairwell buildings would do to our housing supply. That shift could lead to 130,000 homes in Greater Boston. Wow! buff.ly/3YmG1jl

There’s a lot to be aggrieved about in this election, but one I fixate on recently is how absurd it is that only about 6 states matter. Most of us are on the sidelines. Our votes are made useless by the Electoral College. It’s maybe the most broken thing about this whole farce.

Really confused why MBTA Commuter Rail changed the schedule so that three trains leave NS at 5:05. The waiting area struggles to handle it. And judging from how long I’ve been sitting on the stationary train, so does the schedule. #mbta

Using automated enforcement for traffic violations is not allowed under state law in Massachusetts. Increasingly, some municipal leaders say it’s time to change that. trib.al/ezy30cS
