OK, good. But could the Green Party please now start vetting their candidates properly to avoid this succession of electoral liabilities entering Parliament?

This is simply untrue. Qatar has led several attempts to save its clients, Hamas. Nothing more. Effectively, it's a participant in the war, and as from the Hamas/Qatar perspective, the war only ends when Israel has been replaced with an Arab state. theguardian.com/world/2025/sep…

More evidence that freedom of speech isn't a left/right issue. NZ leftists take note: opposing freedom of speech will come back to bite you. theguardian.com/us-news/2025/s…

One liberal's "stochastic terrorism" is sometimes another liberal's "look, you can't just go saying out loud things we disagree with and not expect to get shot."

Multiple times a week the Guardian posts some middle-class commentator tutting about how the plebs are so easily duped by far-right propaganda into imagining there might be a problem with mass immigration from Muslim countries. It's embarrassing to see. theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

It's a sign of how bad things have become in the USA and in academia that pseudo-academic-gibberish peddler Judith Butler counts as a "famous public intellectual." theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

A terrorist attack on a synagogue? Oh, Basque separatists, was it maybe? Irish Nationalists? Red Army Faction? Could have been anybody, I suppose. Seriously, the authorities' studious silence just makes what they're avoiding saying all the more obvious. theguardian.com/uk-news/2025/o…

This is why the country has a free speech union: public servants believing that we don't have the right to express opinions they find offensive, and that they do have the right to punish us for it, regardless of the Bill of Rights Act. rnz.co.nz/news/political…

It will be to the eternal shame of the left that it was right-wingers who stepped up on behalf of ordinary people to fight for their freedom of expression, against liberal leftists doing their best to suppress it.

I think those who 'blame' feminism for this are right, except for the word "blame." Feminism means women get a choice about who fathers their children, at which point a lot of men suddenly stand little chance of becoming fathers. That's a good thing. theguardian.com/commentisfree/…
