Let's stop silencing youth voices and experiences. Let's hold accountable those who violate the rights of young people facing incarceration. Governor Gavin Newsom Gavin Newsom, please sign #AB505 and protect the safety of California's youth.
Let's be clear, #AB505 is about safety, accountability and efficiency. It will ensure that the Youth Ombudsperson has immediate access to incarcerated youth in #California after a complaint is made about their rights not being met. Governor Gavin Newsom Gavin Newsom, please sign #AB505.
#AB505 strengthens California's commitment to health-based youth justice. It ensures mental health, social services, community members and others are involved in county planning. Let's protect our youth and their rights! 💪🏽 #AB505 #YouthRights Governor Gavin Newsom Gavin Newsom #AB505

#AB505 would require twice-a-year input from county mental health, social services, & education experts for youth justice plans. Chief Probation Officers of California | CPOC calls this "unnecessary bureaucratic hurdles.” 🤔?🤯?! Come on... Let's protect our youth & their rights. Gavin Newsom, pls sign #AB505!
California DOES need to finish what it started in realignment of youth. Our ombudsperson’s hands are tied when they must wait 48 hours to see a youth in crisis. #AB505 eliminates that unnecessary waiting period. Common sense/ decency compels Gavin Newsom’s signature on #AB505.
AB 505 will keep California’s commitment to a youth justice system that protects young people's safety and dignity, provides transparency, and above all reflects the promises made to youth, families, and communities. Governor Gavin Newsom Gavin Newsom, please sign #AB505!
Thank you, Governor Gavin Newsom Gavin Newsom, for starting California on the path to transform its youth justice system with health-based approaches in 2020. Today, #AB505 builds on this movement. Please sign #AB505 to keep it going. #CaliforniaProgress
The big question.. NOTHING in this bill impacts funding for counties. Chief Probation Officers of California | CPOC can point to no language or provision that does so, because it doesn’t. Letting the ombudsperson have access to kids in crisis is common sense decency.
Every California youth deserves a chance to thrive. AB 505 is a crucial step in continuing the transformation of our youth justice system, ensuring their safety and well-being. Let's stand together for our future! #YouthJustice Governor Gavin Newsom Gavin Newsom, please sign #AB505!
