This was a happy surprise at the end of a challenging school year. I am so fortunate to get the opportunity to work with talented students and generous & supportive colleagues in @DrakeCBPA every day.

Driving home from my parents farm in north central iowa. Photos just don’t do the crop damage due to the August 10 derecho justice.

Tbh, I wasn’t really feeling ready to head back into the (virtual) classroom today. But this was waiting for me at my office, just when I needed it most. Our students are simply the best.

My dad brought home a German Shepard pup a couple days ago - he’ll start land guardian dog training on the farm in a few weeks. In the meantime, want to put him in my pocket and bring him to class with me.
