I’ve been looking into Theresa Beney. Like many UK women composers I’ve found, she proudly recorded herself as a ‘composer’ in the census (which shows she was living with a married man in 1901). Do you know of her Dr Naomi Paxton? she played for the Actresses’ Franchise League.😀
