Maackia amurensis should be grown more widely. This fabulous summer flowering tree from the Far East is cold hardy and loves the scorching summer sun. This tree is alive with the sound of happy 🐝 🐝 🐝

This eye catching perennial Lobelia enjoys a sunny spot and will flower all summer. Lobelia laxiflora var. angustifolia can be a vigorous grower! Perfect for sharing with friends. Happy gardening

Plant of the day and a first for me. A very ornamental & striking variegated Clerodendrum named ‘Carnival’ Doesn’t appear to sucker! Nice combination with the Clematis. Happy Garden visiting this weekend.

Crocosmia ‘Star of the East’ is so aptly named! Very distinct and head and shoulders above the other montbretia. My favourite for years, the huge individual flowers eventually open to a flat star!!! It also has a very long flowering season and is seriously intense orange.

Had forgotten just how impressive stands of Eucalyptus can be! Marks Hall Garden in #Essex is really worth a visit, Jonathan Jukes and team must really proud of this impressive arboretum arranged phytogeographically.

A ‘lifer’ for me today in Windsor Great Park: a new host plant for Mistletoe (Viscum album) on Hazel (Corylus avellana), found and pointed out by the legend that is Ted Green. It was in this paddock at Cranbourne Tower that the famous race-horse ‘Eclipse’ was foaled.

Liquidamber 'Royal Lodge' a perfect celebration of incredible autumn colour and a beacon to celebrate today's #Royalwedding Congratulations to the happy couple.

Great visit to KewGardens , visiting old haunts and seeing lots of amazing autumn colour. Alstromeria 'Indian Summer' caught the eye and had to pay homage to Cotinus obovatus at Vic. Gate, still seriously impressive. Great catching up with all the news. Kew looked really sharp
