Gary Schneider, Owner of G.B. Schneider, came to judge hot appetizers made by our Culinary students this morning! He tasted each of the entries, looked at their ingredient lists and breakdown of cost. After judging all of the apps, he chose a winner! Congrats to Sierra!

We were fortunate enough to ask @JoelMcKMiller questions about his acting career and how he got to where he is today. We learned so much and can’t thank him enough for taking the time to answer all of the questions our freshman had! We love Scully!!!

This fall, our District acquired a hotdog cart street vending cart. Our vision is to combine marketing and culinary arts to start a business! In this process, students have been competing to make the best “Raildog”!

Members of the USCG Station Duluth came to visit Bay View today! They spent the morning reading Coast Guard related books to students and talking about their role in the Coast Guard. We are thankful for their service and excited to continue to partner with them!

UMD Pharmacy Student Danielle spent Rail Time today teaching students about pharmaceutical careers. She taught them that there are so many options within the realm of pharmaceutical careers that they might have never considered before!

Last week Adam Johnson from the local Carpenter’s Union talked to our students about trades careers!

Nothing like getting a first hand look at what it it’s like to be a fire fighter! A huge thanks for @lakesuperiorfirefighting and @duluthfirefighters for taking the time to walk our students through the daily life of a fire fighter!
