The amount of joy that emits from my 5yo when she gets a knife at a restaurant. She unrolls the napkin like it’s Christmas morning- Believing fully that our waiter carefully weighed the options and determined that she is (obviously) ready for such a grownup responsibility.

My 7 yo son suffered a concussion three days ago. He’s been in completely distraught since. Not because of his symptoms…. But because he’s (temporarily) not permitted to hang upside down or jump from high things (etc.) The greatest and most dramatic trial of his young life.

I know someone who has consistently spelled my name incorrectly in emails for YEARS. At this point I think she’s making a suggestion of how I SHOULD spell it.
