Hearing experiences from people on the ground is important to strategize where to put the effort to lessen the burden. A Sarpanch (village headman) speaking passionately about shunning faith healing can be far more effective than outsiders speaking the same thing.

This is an unfortunate incident to report. Guess the policy makers should consider the importance of adding clinical management of snakebite in the medical college curriculum.
