Luís Antero - soundscape artist and archivist - has been developing since 2008 a project of collecting and documenting the immaterial sound heritage of several areas of Portugal through field recordings. Tapes/digital available through the email: [email protected]

“Estas Ruas Têm Voz II” (These Streets Have a Voice II) takes us back to the streets of Arco and Arrabaldo, to Largo da Feira and to the surrounding area of the Pavia river, 6 years after the first presentation of “Estas Ruas Têm Voz”.

This sound installation/concert challenges us to reflect on the sounds of the present moment, the sound dynamics of everyday life and the perpetual movement of sounds that mirror the social identities of these locations in the city of Viseu through artistic manners.

What has acoustically changed? What social changes has this area undergone since 2014, when the first presentation took place? Produced in real-time for 5 people at a time connected through linked headphones and presented at the multidisciplinary festival Jardins Efémeros 2021.
