I heard people need at least 5 positive and affirming comments for every criticism or correction they receive. Principals, you can't encourage your teachers too much. Teachers, you can't encourage your students too much.

New to tweeting…. What can principals do to make 2021-2022 the best for teachers? Real talk, I never want a teacher to leave because of lack of support or be non-renewed… If you had the magic wand, what would you do?

A2- The staff helps to reinforce the message which builds transparency and consistency. ONE VOICE #k12prchat

Oftentimes staff is seen as a true voice of what is actually taking place. They know principals are going to be spin doctors. #k12prchat

The biggest obstacle is ensuring staff know their role. Identify the spokesperson and stick to the message #k12prchat

A5- I teach teachers to make deposits in students and parents banks before withdrawing. One positive before a negative. #k12prchat

A6- In a crisis, their NEEDS to be a spokesperson. When a crisis occurs, misinformation can cause mayhem! #k12prchat
