Back in UK Parliament last night, with Southwark Law Centre's Van Ferguson and WindrushJusticeClinic Project Coordinator Sharon, to represent WJC at another excellent #justiceforthewindrushgenerations rally. Good cross-party representation from Marsha de Cordova Richard Burgon MP & @duwaynebrooks.

Last Night was very impactful. I was invited to speak at UK Parliament on the rights of the Windrush Generation and the ongoing Legacy of African Chattel Slavery. Such conversations must take place in Parliament. Thank you for the cross-party support. #reparatoryjustice #windrush

Unity is Key! Last night in UK Parliament this, was achieved on sensitive issues. Both the #Labour & #Conservatives agreed that the #WindrushGeneration and their descendants required protection! Huge thanks to my sister Miranda Grell who spoke so eloquently and stood for justice.

I was so honoured to attend the funeral of Flight Sergeant Peter Brown of Royal Air Force Today over 400 people attended his funeral at the RAF Central Church, Westminister. Born in Jamaica, Mr Brown enlisted in the RAF Volunteer Reserve in 1943. He died alone aged 96 #PeterBrown

The funeral of Flight Sergeant #PeterBrown of the #RAF filled me with a great sense of pride💯 I was particularly touched by Micheal Ward🇯🇲 who took time out to speak with our veterans & regiments. Also the beautiful Veteran Lance Coropral #MaurilliaSimpson who sang so beautifully.

My Grandparents who are of the #Windrush generation, taught me from a very young age the importance of using my #Vote. Today, I am grateful to them for those conversations. Voting is imperative but to drive political participation, people must genuinely believe they matter.
