You can make the case that almost all of the NBA's biggest tanking culprits were in the 4-10 range this season. So this system, at best, incentivizes the Wizards, Pacers and Nets to win more games? That's saving the integrity of the league?

silver is ruining his single best innovation, the play in game. he has no shame. he is slaughtering his own child for the blood god of gambling apps and bad faith espn talking heads.

i wish i could say this ignores the fact that there will always be bad teams but i think that's kind of the point lmao, silver wants small markets to rot in hell for having the AUDACITY to not generate as much money as the larger markets.

silver is easily the most online commissioner and up until now it’s manifested mostly in stuff like them slapping the trophy on the court mid finals last year but this new lottery stuff is a direct result of being too plugged in to car selfie twitter and will fuck the league up

also the vast majority of the people who blew smoke on this were casuals & people who don't know anything abt how the sport operates so it is *tremendous* that silver decided to bend to their will. fr might have just ruined the parity era w/platitudes abt the "integrity" lololol

iris! 🏳️‍⚧️ Bedwetters in the media and fandom consistently drive the worst decisions in the league, load management whining leading to the 65 game rule.

it’s precisely this that provoked me this obserbation. sam, who i am vaguely familiar with, abhors Black elite identity politics. went on a multi-day tirade just recently. but does not see the irony of deploying idpol’s primacy in defense of jewish innocence!
