I'm currently having an exploratory go 🤪 at adding fixed timestep interpolation to Godot core, roughly following reduz' proposal, putting it in VisualServer. This is running at 20 ticks per second with interpolation.

The 3D bone manipulator has been merged into Godot! github.com/godotengine/go… #Godot #GodotEngine I send the prototype of it in February of this year, but at that time, Godot's gizmo system was hard-coded and the decision was made that it needed a huge refactoring.

What's funny is physics programmers have said for over ten years that you can make interesting mechanics like TotK does in AAA, but most game design sticks to simple, scripted things instead because it's more predictable. Now I hope to see *real* emergent gameplay more often 😊
