I'll tell you what... And if I am being honest, which I am... not having to worry about the next YouTube upload has been glorious! I loved making the videos on my channel and sharing what I do and know. But with less stress and more time, things have been (chef's kiss) lately!

Part of me wants to start uploading more videos with the hopes of reaching the 20k sub mark....just for hell of it. Another part of me doesn't want to upload anymore because the channel isn't making any money (if we're being honest, here.) Decisions!!

This app/website is awful. No, really. Don't get me wrong: I like chatting with people I know. But my feed is not "For me". It's all the same subject and it's not filmmaking, camera related, or any of that. Yes, I know this there is a Following tab, but this is nuts.

In the grand scheme of things, still a small number. But at the same time, still surreal. Honored that thousands of people chose to sub to watch more.

Ok which social media platform is worse? Facebook or this site? The fact that I signed into Twitter (yes, Twitter) after a whille and I have tons of notifications, and 75% of them are informing me of things that were posted by people I don't follow makes me think this one.

What's the consensus on the best place to sell digital items? It is still Ko-fi? Is there a better option?

Amusing that I no longer have any paid photo/video jobs or upload to the channel anymore but I am STILL excited about the new Davinci Resolve! Good stuff!!

Anyone else miss the REAL old days of the camera sphere? I'm glad cameras progressed but I have a certain nostalgia for spending time after work and catching up on some DigitalRev and Dave Dugdale videos Maybe I'm just old lol

My multi-year run with Panasonic is coming to an end. Started with Canon t2i/60d...went to Sony....tried Olympus, went to Panasonic, and now.... back to Sony! Just does what I need it to do (I don't have the new camera yet, but can't wait to get it!)

1. I love that Resolve continues to update and makes workflows much easier than in the past 2. This also means that older videos made by YouTube creators, such as many that I made, are now inaccurate/obsolete lol

There are soooooooooo many Davinci Resolve channels now! I don't have a follow up to that sentence really. I've just spent a day or two going through the YouTube home page saying to myself: "who's this?" "Who's THIS???" 🤣

This is the first Resolve release since 12 where I didn't know it was coming 😂 Off to watch videos to see what's new! (That's also new to me! From peer, to audience)
