I feel like Hollywood underestimates how much people care about characters and not just plots. You can’t just slap the label of Gus Everett on a man and have him be him.

Gus Everett is one of the most complex yet beautifully written fictional men ever. we need an actor who can do him justice. casting directors have no idea what an important job they have, beach read casting team failed on this one miserably.
