Tonight the band were part of the Ellesmere RBL church service to mark the 80th anniversary of the D Day landings. As well as preforming in the service our Musical director Dougie Graham sounded the last post and reveille.

Porthywaen Silver Band played at the D-Day celebration event in Cae Glas Park, supported the Royal British Legion Oswestry Branch and Oswestry Town Council. Sunshine and a lovely big audience made for a wonderful event.

Tonight we took part in the annual Ford and District British Legion Service and parade.  A lovely event the band looks forward to each year especially for the cakes 🍰 afterwards. Thank to the organisers for your continued support to the band.
