We need more professionals in the medical field in #Nevada #Nursing I remember how proud my mom was going back to school earning her RN license after kids were grown & how proud I was of her. #NeverGiveUp #Dreams
Meet our March Nevada Woman in STEM: Eva Hernandez! Eva hasn’t even started nursing school yet, but she’s already breaking barriers: she was the only Latina in University of Nevada, Reno’s spring 2019 class majoring in Molecular Microbiology & Immunology. We’re lucky to have her in Nevada!

In all seriousness though, it was a pleasure to tour and meet some of the incredible students and faculty at Nevada StateU's School of Nursing. I'm proud to have secured $648,000 for training equipment that will expand curricular offerings & address Nevada's nursing shortage.
