In the latest episode of Air Line Pilot Podcast, Capt. Jason Ambrosi talked with leaders of IFALPA, European Pilots, and ALPA Canada about how pilots are working around the globe to stop single pilot operations. Listen today: airlinepilot.podbean.com

The safety of every airline flight always starts with at least two qualified pilots on the flight deck. Removing pilots from the flight deck is a gamble with safety. Pilots are unified in saying #SafetyStartsWith2 safetystartswith2.com

In this powerful video, the presidents of IFALPA, European Pilots & Air Line Pilots Association explain why TWO pilots on the flight deck are essential for aviation safety. No single-pilot proposal has proven safer—or even equal. Two pilots = safer skies. Stand with us! safetystartswith2.com/Video

Single-pilot operations aren’t some far-off fantasy. Airbus believes they will have an aircraft with single-pilot operational capabilities by 2027. They have customers, and they’re already working with regulators to allow it despite the safety concerns.

Two is always safer. Air travel in the U.S. is the safest mode of transportation because there are always two pilots on the flight deck. Learn why this safety requirement should not be changed: safetystartswith2.com #SafetyStartsWith2

Multiple recent surveys show a majority of passengers around the world would never feel comfortable flying without two pilots on the flight deck. The only people pushing for single-pilot operations are the ones who can profit from it. safetystartswith2.com #SafetyStartsWith2

Transportation workers worldwide are united against any current and future attempts to reduce today’s crew complement requirements, which would undermine workers' rights and jeopardize safe skies. Together, we will do everything we can to halt this profit-over-safety scheme.

Passengers don’t want single-pilot operations, employees don’t want it, and the communities potentially impacted don’t want it. It's up to all of us to make sure that those willing to gamble with aviation safety just to further line their pockets are stopped.

Some aircraft manufacturers are designing airliners to be flown with only one pilot on the flight deck during the cruise portion of the flight, and eventually with zero pilots. Transportation workers around the globe are united in stopping profit-over-safety schemes.

On October 16th, we proudly organized a flight simulator session with MEP @MetzTilly. Just as pilots maneuver through challenging flight paths, leaders like Ms. Metz play a crucial role in shaping the direction of Europe's policies. 🛩️

European Pilots Air Line Pilots Association & IFALPA said it in 2023 & we say it today, automation is no replacement for the skills and experience of two or more pilots who are currently required to be on the flight deck and at the controls at all times. simpleflying.com/single-pilot-o… #safetystartswith2

"Today's NTSB final report on Alaska Airlines Flight 1282 provides another important reminder of why having two highly trained, well-rested, and experienced pilots on the flight deck is absolutely critical to aviation safety," said Capt. Jason Ambrosi. More 👉bit.ly/3GhDBMJ
