Rudy's Strudel & Bakery is ground zero for Paczki Day in Parma. Ward 2 Councilwoman Debbie Lime and I presented owner Lidia Trempe and Mama with a proclamation marking the bakery’s 75th anniversary. People stood in line, some before 3 a.m., to get their paczki. #paczkiday

It is always a big party at Rudy's Strudel & Bakery on Paczki Day, but this year’s celebration is extra special because the bakery is 75 years old. Ward 2 Councilwoman Debbie Lime and I were there this morning to issue a proclamation and offer congratulations to Lidia Trempe and Mama.

Ward 2 Councilwoman Debbie Lime and I visited Colozza's Bakery this morning for Paczki Day. Fourteen different flavors meant paczki lovers had many delicious options. #paczkiday

This year, Schnitz Ale Brewery joined the paczki party and brewed a 75th anniversary paczki ale called Rudy's Currant Ale. Pairs well with paczki, of course. The brewery also sold the paczki beer in the parking lot at Rudy's Strudel & Bakery as part of the grand celebration. #paczkiday

Thank you so much Cleveland! Your support is very special and means the world to us ... we made more than ever this year, 82,000 paczki, and we sold out at noon. This is unprecedented ... we don't believe sales of this magnitude ever happened anywhere before!

It was an honor to serve today as grand marshal for Parma’s Polish Constitutional Day Parade. My family joined the celebration, too. Always a fun event.
