The pace of life continues to quicken. We don't spend time focusing on the current experience; always in a rush to move on to the next thing, situation, or person, and so we learn very little about anything or anyone. Smart phones and social media have encouraged this trend.

Some things are not meant to be dissected or fully understood, including what draws us to others. The psyche often avoids full disclosure, maintaining the mystery. Sometimes, knowing too much kills the romance.

We need to show the sad and the bad, so the happy and good stand out in contrast, and vice versa. If happy is the setting for a happy story, then where or what is the story? We cannot perceive happiness without the presence of its opposite -sadness.

Life has a way of dragging our spinning tires out of the wet mud, so to speak, even while we're kicking and screaming. Sometimes, we confuse the grip of the mud pit with the safety of protective arms holding us in place.

Reality itself may be a subjective creation used to facilitate one's personal journey. I prefer to trust my experiential growth process, rather than put faith in an objective, relatively unchanging reality, which may not even exist.

It is possible that a character's development is a reflection of something unconscious or semi-conscious going on within the author's psyche, but complete autonomy to dictate the story path seems unlikely.

"If" you are ready for and open to change, the type and extent of change depends upon how you experience the love and respond to it. Your inner process and current circumstances greatly influence your response.

I co-create with God or fate the experiences of myself in relationship to everything else; all of this being in continuous transition or transformation.

Human nature-AKA psychology-will always be more theory than replicable science. Too much variability between brain complexity, context, and contributing circumstances for it to be otherwise. As with everything, the most provocative theories get the most attention on social media.

It is possible that some traumas are encoded in such chaotic, fragmented form, that they've become partially or completely inaccessible as whole memories. Referring to them as repressed, rather than as too disorganized to be fully accessible in original form, may be the mistake.

It is difficult, sometimes impossible, to differentiate between the residual, hole ridden memories of a past event or situation, and one's confabulated ideas about them. The mind will create stories to fill in the gaps, including the idea of things having been repressed.

The writer's impact on others should be what matters. Whether a writer is labeled a storyteller, author, artist, or anything else matters to whom and why? Is it a status thing? A recognized right to practice one's creative inclination? Why do we feel the need to categorize?

I believe this will become a developing trend, if it hasn't already, among a wider range of the population. A diverse group of opportunists--not only therapists--will take advantage of this trend, such as emerging rent-a-friend and chatbot providers. Welcome to the future!

There will be two groups of people: The group that praises AI's perfected mimicry of human creativity, and the group that perceives the subtle but immutable differences between algorithm and authentic human creativity. The important question: Real or real enough? Does it matter?
