Hathaway on turning 40: “I don’t take it that seriously. There are so many other things I identify as milestones. I don’t normally talk about it, but I am over five years sober. That feels like a milestone to me. Forty feels like a gift.”

Lapid on Netanyahu: “We’re going to try and make the Netanyahu government go away, because it’s disastrous and dangerous and irresponsible, and nonfunctional on top of this.”

Hathaway on the arc of her films: “I like to look toward the horizon rather than back at what I’ve done. I don’t watch my films. I love that so many of my movies are the films that you cuddle up with; I’m aware of that aspect of it, but the concept of having a ‘name’ is weird.”

In response to Israel being accused of genocide, of war crimes, Mr. Lapid says “No, Israel is not committing genocide. No, Israel is not doing anything but defend itself in a war we didn’t want.”

Lapid: “If President Biden loses the election, a lot of people in the Democratic Party are going to say it’s because of Israel. Or at least this is going to be one of the claims. And then Israel, instead of being an electoral value or an advantage, has become a liability…”
