Guess what, you get two fun facts this week! Detlev Bronk (1897-1975) graduated from Swarthmore College (PA Kappa), served as the 6th president of Johns Hopkins University, and is regarded as the father of biophysics. "The Bronx" is derived from his original family name, Bronck.

Did you know that "America's Boy Friend" was a Phi Psi? Charles "Buddy" Rogers (1904-1999) of the University of Kansas (KS Alpha, 1923). He is most remembered for his performance in the Academy Award winning film "Wings" and received a star on the Hollywood walk of fame.

Another fun fact coming your way! Edgar Fahs Smith (Gettysburg, 1874) is a well known chemist and Phi Psi who was the winner of the Priestly Medal and provost of University of Pennsylvania. He entered Gettysburg College as a junior in high school, due to his skills in chemistry.
