Understanding that Hitler never intended to invade Stalingrad only because the city was named after his "biggest enemy" is a sign that you are a ww2 geek.

The battle between the Panther and the Pershing is still one of the most amazing pieces of footage I have seen. If you haven't read the story, you should! And I think there is a stabilised version of the video!!!

I spend the whole afternoon watching an extremely well-researched, 7 part documentary on the fall of Berlin... What a great way to end this Saturday!

On The Road To Berlin (2015). A very good Russian movie based on Two in the Steppe, a story by the famous Soviet writer Emmanuil Kazakevich and war diaries by Konstantin Simonov. 1942. Recommended! and it's on Youtube for FREE! Have you watch it?

I learned a super fun and interesting fact about the negotiation to surrender the German army to the Russians in Berlin. Photo: German delegation under General Hans Krebs.

I need to start researching a bit more about the countries in South America, and how they got involved with the war... Here is a Mexican poster against the Nazis

The most valuable asset for Germany's mechanised wing... and they were abandoned, so many of them.... Watching so many of those Tiger tanks makes you wonder how much this lost contributed to the bad results in the East

Currently reading about about the Division Azul, the Spanish volunteer division that fought in Stalingrad as part of the German 6th army.
