Built in 2011, the $65.5 million Athletics and Events Center is the newest athletics facility at Ithaca College. With an indoor track and field center, weight room, trainer’s room, turf field, tennis courts, and a natatorium, this massive building hosts a wide range of events.

Here lies the Textor Disc, a sculpture commissioned in 1967 by President Dillingham and his wife, Dorothy. Many are left to wonder what it represents. Is it an egg, a disc, a ball? This symbolic part of IC’s campus has served as a meeting place for students past and present.

Park Hall, one of IC’s largest teaching spaces. Features include TV studios, a sound stage, and a remote TV broadcast truck. Also, there are audio, radio, and photography studios as well as 14 media labs and classrooms in Park Hall.

T.J. Schaper, a co-owner of Deep Dive and an Ithaca College graduate, talks about the importance of Deep Dive as a hub for college students and “townies” to come together and appreciate one another’s presence. This forms a community that spans across generations. #ICVisJourn

On Apr. 30, I got the chance to cover the Ithaca College Concert Band and Wind Ensemble’s final performances of the academic year at the school’s Whelan Center for Music. Shown here is the Concert Band, conducted by Professor Benjamin Rochford and comprised of IC students.

Formally created in 1981, The Wind Ensemble is Ithaca College’s premier wind band. In the past ten years, the ensemble has performed at three national conventions which include the American Bandmaster Association twice and the College Band Directors National Association once.
