HUGE congratulations to our Fringe First winning friends and colleagues at Theatre Studies at UoG - @GrahamEatough for This is Memorial Device and Vlad Butucea for Silkworm: scotsman.com/arts-and-cultu…
Bursting with pride last night to watch our co-commission #SisterRadio by Sara Shaarawi open the most beautiful new theatre in Scotland @PITLOCHRYft in a co-pro with Stellar Quines and the sapphire beauty of @caitskin’s direction💎
Pearlfisher I’ve not stopped talking about Silkworm since last night. An important story to share, beautifully written by Vlad Butucea and breathtaking direction from @moji_elufowoju 😍 blown away! Absolutely stunned by the performances of ewa 🍬 and Antonia Layiwola wow! 🙌🏻
Shoutout to the epic talents of the team behind Sara Shaarawi’s gorgeous #SisterRadio @PITLOCHRYft: achingly beautiful work from actors @LannaJoffrey & Nalân Burgess — it didn’t seem like acting to me, I felt I was sitting in their kitchen, so intimate is the new studio theatre 💙
Pleasure was all mine. Good luck Joe! Thanks to Playwrights' Studio, Scotland for the gig.
So sorry to hear about playwright Alan Wilkins' death. Unfailingly kind, funny & generous, working with him on his excellent Traverse Theatre shows 'The Nest' and 'Carthage Must Be Destroyed' are amongst my happiest memories (photos from 'The Nest' Highlands & Islands tour 2004)
#JamesIV Capital Theatres: Festival, King’s & Studio Raw Material by QUEEN OF THEM ALL Rona Munro is a thrilling experience: fierce but loving, poetic but grounded — and a glorious production by Laurie Sansom led by the beautiful trio of @daniellejam_act Dan Cahill Laura Lovemore & a jaw-dropping ensemble
Wow I loved MADE IN CHINA, A Play, A Pie and A Pint. The most deftly done, complex piece I’ve seen in a long time. Funny and moving. ✊🏻Class directing Philip Howard (& Cairan McLaggan). Brilliantly written @IamAliceClark. 💫superb performances Hoo Xun Lin and Jo Freer. 🫶👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
This is a really really lovely show (so much more than lovely, but I’m tired and out of words) go see it tomorrow Glasgow, next week it’s your turn Edinburgh Traverse Theatre
