Scoring for Pierson were Hammell (2), Bird (2), Lee (2), Jameson, and Flannery. Tingey was back between the pipes taking the loss while dealing with many Ruin’d Bruins defensive deficiencies. Garrett Riddell led the team with giving out 7 Christmas hugs.

The Edward Sports Centre was jam packed with 12 fans as the demand for Jeff Murray bobble heads overwhelmed the Ruin’d Bruins game day staff. Congratulations to the 5 lucky fans who were able to take home the smaller, much quieter version of the Ruin’d Bruins power forward.

The Ruin’d Bruins completed a perfect week of hockey as they won both home games by 1-0 forfeit wins. With the way the season has started the wins help take player/coach Jason Bird off the hot seat as local media has been pressuring management for changes #acoldrinkhasadvantages

The Ruin’d Bruins picked up their first legitimate win of the 2021-22 season by defeating the Alida Wrecks 7-6 in a short staffed affair where only 14 guys combined hit the ice at the Edward Sports Centre. The game started out as a slow paced affair and surprisingly got slower

Rob Murray led the way offensively scoring 6 of the 7 goals despite having Coach Bird as a linemate. Kelly Joseph scored his first in a Pierson jersey to round out the scoring. Matt Tingey was exceptional in net kicking aside 44 shots as the Ruin’d Bruins were outshot 50-39.

Matt Pettinger was barred from entering the arena for the Wednesday night tilt as rumours were circulating he intended to “one up” Kodak Black in one of the Edward Sports Centre luxury suites.

The Ruin’d Bruins hit the road for the first time in 2022 and brought home 2 points picking up a 6-4 win in Alida vs the Wrecks. Shots were even at 44 on the night as both teams played a fast clean game…except Francis Hammell.

Get well wishes to Ruin’d Bruins forward Nick Forsyth-Franklin as he recovers from a broken foot suffered during a shower skirmish on his conditioning stint with the Deloraine Royals.

The Ruin’d Bruins saw their 5 game winning streak come to an end as the Carnduff Chiefs, making their first trip to Pierson in 4 years, skated away with a 9-3 win. Pierson was able to put 9 pucks past the opposition goalie but unfortunately 6 of them hit iron.

Matt Tingey was left to fend for himself as he was unmercifully peppered with 61 shots in the loss. K. Lee, R. Murray, and J. Bird had the goals for Pierson. The return of Brett Flannery to the lineup and the winning streak coming to an end is certainly no coincidence.

Power forward Jeff Murray was missing from the game as he was spotted heading into a top secret impromptu meeting with Border Kings head coach Ed Dyck, who’s looking for a veteran voice to lead his team into the THHL playoffs. No confirmation if a contract was agreed upon yet.

During his postgame media availability Gavin Smith acknowledged that his first goal in multiple seasons were attributed to drinking the NÜTRL Canada 🇨🇦 that Nellie stuck in his hockey bag. Sounds like a potential sponsorship deal on the horizon for the Ruin’d Bruins forward.

Fun Fact: During the 04/05 NHL lockout, Marty Murray suited up for the Pierson Bruins of the now defunct SouthWest Hockey League in Manitoba. One of many NHLers who joined the #SeniorHockey ranks during a work stoppage. #SticksAndGas #BorderCrossing 🇺🇸 🇨🇦
