A human being should never call another human being “a dog.” A President of the United States should never refer to a fellow citizen in this way. It demeans and reduces the office and the person who holds it far more than it does the intended target.

I spoke w/ the owner of a small manufacturing company on Long Island (35 employees). The biggest market for his products is China. He learned China is imposing a 27% tariff on that class of products in retaliation for Trump’s tariffs. He may have to lay off 1/3 of his work force.

There is a name for cooperation between an American political campaign and a foreign government. It’s commonly called collusion. Or, if you prefer the legal term, conspiracy. If this is what it appears to be, it is the biggest scandal in US history. Me: wapo.st/2SLGuHV

"Do you think he recognizes reality in the globe?" Chris Matthews on Trump. "I don't want to insult 5 and 8 year olds, quite frankly. But he does have this petulance. He does have this sense that he knows better than anyone else." John O. Brennan #Hardball

Cohen is right: Trump ran for president only to build his brand & run up his wealth. He never expected to win because Trump recognized something the electorate tragically did not: he is a pure con man who is playing way out of his depth.
