Not a great idea — those glasses will eventually reduce your overall sight. And they're not really a bad thing, so there's no point.

They're not nefarious. They're legitimate to use, within reason. You shouldn't wear them all day every day, though. Maybe a day's worth at max.

That should be fine. Sunglasses might be your best bet, they're heavily tinted to deal with the rays, so they'll definitely cover your eyes.
