Today marks the anniversary of Aberfan, where 116 children and 28 adults were killed. This disaster was a result of the failure's of the National Coal Board. We must never forget those lost, never again.

On this day in 1965 Capel Celyn was drowned to create a reservoir for Liverpool. One of the last only Welsh speaking communities, it now serves as a symbol of the unequal power between Wales and Westminster that, while better, still lasts today. Remember Tryweryn.
