TRANSITION
The warm light gradually pushes the early cold tones to one side. A fairly 'nothing' photograph, but I find it pleasing all the same.

Last photo of the year from me. Took a trip to this iconic spot with RICHARD FOX and David Queenan to get some fresh air, and with sunset and high-tide coinciding, maybe some decent wave action. But it wasn't to be .... so long exposure instead 🥴

THROWING SHAPES
Some trees just seem to throw better shapes ....

FENCELINE
Dipped back into that 8yr old folder again for another look at the perfect flat conditions of that morning. A familiar fence for a lot of Scots togs.

WITNESSES
Apparently these two monumental blended beeches are known by watchers of Outlander as the witness trees. never having seen a single episode, I wouldn't know. Impressive specimens though 🌳🌳

DUNCRYNE
Eight years ago today I stood and admired this scene. Only got around to stitching the pano a week ago 🙄😵‍💫

SENTINELS
Roughcastle was the site of a Roman Fort on the Antonine wall nearly two thousand years ago. These trees are very young in comparison, but it's almost as if they represent the individual legionnaires standing guard. Or am I just dreaming? 😱

BROWN
One brown leaf or hundreds of brown leaves?

KINNOULL
The anticipated misty/foggy conditions didn't materialise, catching out quite a lot of fellow photographers up at Kinnoull on Sunday 😭 So had to settle for this view instead 🤷‍♂️
