Today our Second Grade class took the celestial opportunity to model the phases of the eclipse!

History was made today as Phoenix Academy Elementary participated in their inaugural intra-district basketball game at Aynesworth Elementary! Students in 5th and 6th grade tried out and joined the team under the direction of Coach K. We can’t wait for our next game!

Last Friday our boys traveled to Kratt Elementary and played an intense game! Sportsmanship was on point and everyone had a great time!

Today we celebrate and honor our absolutely amazing and dedicated staff! The quality of work and the love they have for our students is unrivaled anywhere in the district. Give a shoutout to a staff member that has made a difference for you!

This week, Ty Allan Jackson visited Phoenix, inspiring our students with his story and books. Grades 4 to 6 participated in Fresno Unified’s PLi and PBL. Notably, our 6th-grade students pitched their business plans to Mr. Jackson, receiving valuable feedback.

We’re thrilled to welcome William P. back to his site. As the first student in our new Pinning Ceremony, he’ll receive his wings, symbolizing his transition to success. This marks the start of many more pinnings.

Our front office looks great with a fresh coat of paint, and a fresh proclamation to hang on our walls. December 19th was declared Phoenix Academy Elementary Day in Fresno, and we are so proud of our staff and students for their efforts to RISE!

Our 2nd graders LOVED having Bricks4Kids visit on Friday. These little scientists learned how to make a centrifuge!

Our principal, Mr. Santos, bravely gets the first Flu Shot today! Thank you Saint Agnes for visiting Phoenix, they'll be here until 3:30 pm to help support the health of our community!

The CTE Department came to visit our 6th grade students with Breakout Boxes!! Students were able to learn about all the awesome CTE programs available for them in high school while showing off their puzzle solving skills!

The Phoenix Gardening Club got to break ground today! Thank you Ms. Kwani for helping our students learn more about the environment, the Earth, and the cycles we are all a part of!

Today at Phoenix Academy Elementary, we officially turned the page and reopened our library doors! The ceremony was a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do. From a moving student speech to original poetry that left us inspired, the future of our young readers is bright!

Our 5th grade students volunteered at DeWolf's Grad Walk today! We are so proud of the Cobras' hard work, and have loved getting to know them this year!
