Players must clearly take some blame. But I don’t understand the cultish adoration for a new unproven trophyless manager over those that have won several for the club. Sarri-ball may well take time to bed in but if we don’t get top 4 then it’s irrelevant.

Another year of turmoil, another trophy. Whatever anyone says about Chelsea, it’s never dull. 🏆

The first half hour aside, that was a very professional team performance. Hazard will understandably grab the headlines but Kovacic, Emerson & Christensen quietly excellent.

As for Sarri, the last couple of months has seen the penny drop, both for the manager and the players. He might not be everybody’s cup of tea but the kernel of a team is developing. Would be happy to see him at SB next season, doubt that will be the case though.

Chelsea and City seemingly spinning that they were in some way unwilling accomplices in the ESL plans, and are only participating so as not to be ‘left behind’. One easy way to demonstrate that unwillingness. Walk away from the ESL,apologise to their supporters and move on.
