An excellent podcast on Soviet aid to West Africa (I may be a little biased). Listen when/where ever you like, that's the beauty of podcasts! srbpodcast.org/2022/09/06/sov…

This is disgraceful. Where’s the duty of care and Philppa’s right to live with dignity? Paralysis from Stage 4 cancer does not mean being written off! Taking away her carers and the little freedom she has is cruel and demeaning. The very reason why #stage4deservesmore Pls RT!

Can you imagine this being your life or that of a loved one? Paralysed due to terminal breast cancer and yet the care funding will be stopped. What a shit shower of a political football our health system is. #breastcancer

Thank you so much for everyone's suggestions, messages of love and support today. I plan to get in touch with my MP stellacreasy tomorrow, who I know is involved in women's health issues, as well as build a backup plan involving lots of great people recommended by Twitter

For all that are following along with my health issues, an update: I’ve progression in my spine and brain. Some areas watch and wait, some to be treated now. So I’m having a course of radiation and also starting new drugs. Thanks you for your well wishes!

Absolutely speechless that the health minister for Wales said this to two incurable breast cancer patients. Because of course cancer is all our faults. The words you used within the context of the room is going to haunt your career!! As it should.

Appalling lack of empathy & education about #metastaticbreastcancer Patient blaming is not acceptance & I hope Eluned Morgan you never have to face cancer or have a loved one face cancer as saying “it’s your fault” is totally unacceptable METUPUK Oncology Forum UK ESMO - Eur. Oncology

Perplexed by comparisons w Sally Rooney whose characters hers don’t resemble at all; more like Elif Batuman Diana Reid on Sally Rooney, Love & Virtue and her fast follow-up: ‘Lockdown gave me freedom to fail’ | Australian books | The Guardian theguardian.com/books/2022/oct…
