More on #Aedes aegypti, an important vector again in west Africa and a fresh challenge for a new daring, better informed and hopefully better equipped generation involved in vector control and public health. Nice work from Bea et al.

If everyone who has been grateful for NHS staff over the last two years followed and retweeted, we would reach a million in no time. It will only take a few seconds, and your support would really mean a lot to a huge number of people who continue to fight Covid-19.

Had second attempt [following last years infection) at #DBS Deep Brain Stimulation surgery to treat #Parkinsonsdisease, last week Jan 12th, at the The Walton Centre Liverpool. Four brain surgeries in <6 months is heavy going and recovery taking far longer than before…

Out tomorrow in Royal Soc Open Science doi.org/10.1098/rsos.2… Anopheles arabiensis are remarkably poor at entering and exiting aged ITNs, and aged ITNs provide little additional personal protection for sleepers over untreated nets. Can this info help us design better bednets?

I was almost a week premature when I announced this previously and the link was broken. It's open now doi.org/10.1098/rsos.2… "Video-tracked Anopheles arabiensis entry and exit behaviour at washed and damaged pyrethroid- treated bednets". I hope you find it useful
