I'd counter that Keir Starmer's ratings (while better than any other party leader) are below David Cameron's in 09-10 and Tony Blair's in 96-7.
But then one person's 'Keir's the man for me' vote counts exactly the same as another's 'could they really do any worse?' vote

Spurs fans are tweeting comparisons to early Arteta, but the comparison is more like Emery. Enough early progress to win plaudits - but gutless when the going gets tough, and a style that never really takes hold and is too easy to defeat.

Voter ID in the US is code for Jim Crow and everyone on all sides of the debate is fully aware of that. When pulled by conservatives outside the US it's literally cargo cult nonsense, you might as well pray to a statue of Prince Phillip

The ‘legacy media’ Aaron derides are probably less Pollyannaish about who and what George Galloway has been for decades.

It doesn’t take long to find out - presuming, of course, you care to.

This is how we used to console ourselves after conceding at set pieces and making individual errors. There are no moral victories in football.

Premier League managers should just manage their football clubs… it’s so hard for referees, their authority is constantly being diminished…

Labour has thought much more about who *owns* the railway rather than the model of operation. This could prove to be a really serious mistake. Williams-Shapps was a once-in-a-generation opportunity to reset the private-public partnership - shame to see it squandered.

This is a huge moment of risk for Labour. The fine details matter enormously here, taking the operation and maintenance of the railway onto the Government’s balance sheet is a massive political call.

The price of rapidly improving over past two seasons has been our second-string being more like third or fourth string in terms of being able to maintain quality. And we have a manager who hasn't yet learned to rotate properly.

Spain, 2008. The start of a legendary hattrick of tournament successes, but a very different type of side to 2010 and 2012, for me.
