Partially attended an instructional design conference today to improve my craft in the classroom. I say "partially attended" bc it was on my campus. This only confirmed that conferencing on your campus is the hardest thing to do when you're a practitioner.

"The research... suggest[s] that organizations devote more resources to recruit more women and underrepresented minorities, particularly into leadership roles, and change processes and structures to mitigate the effects of stereotyping and bias."

Shout out to AFT for this convening and bringing together key stakeholders to discuss and take action on the barriers to teacher education for students of color.
