...sorry, gramps. The Thieves might be bombastic, but all the time I spent being the "faceless leader" before we had to play our hand gave me a bad habit of acting anonymous. Disappearing without warning is just an evolution of that. Maybe "devolution" depending on who you ask.

You know Haru, only you would be able to turn me popping back up after disappearing for an uncomfortably long time into something vaguely motivational. If it were Ryuji in your shoes instead, he'd kick my ass. Well. He'd try to, at least.

Morgana will probably try to beat me up too, so there's not much point. Just open the floodgates. I can handle it... Probably. Uh. I probably can't get away with an "I was busy," huh. Might be hard to imagine, but my mental health... wasn't great. So I was handling some stuff.

...y'know. It's been a while but I'm still not used to the whole Smash thing. Behind the scenes, a good number of us get along well enough, but I can't totally get used to talking to... a dinosaur. Or an anthropomorphic fox. Yoshi and Fox are nice, at least.

Yeah, it's Mementos-ish, but... it's hard to explain. It's one thing negotiating with a horse... demon... thing for it to join us, it's another to work with and have conversations with guys like... Mewtwo. Kirby still takes my power sometimes. The process gives me nightmares.
