The confluence of the Irish Open at Royal County Down this week and the PGA TOUR playing the Procore (formerly the Fry’s) reminds me of the incredible phenom that was Jamie Lovemark.  College kids like Thor, Clanton, Sargent and Koivun are poised to take the TOUR by storm.

Five teams I’d like to see the U.S. roll out at Royal Montreal for the Presidents Cup, including a defense of Scheffler-Burns and the two players who are eerily identical and could make for a good Foursomes pairing: pgatour.com/article/news/l…

For all the hand-wringing about finding the perfect pairings for Cup competition, where everything from chemistry to calculus is consulted, I appreciated this story from Brian Harman about his successful Foursomes pairing with Anthony Kim in the 2005 Walker Cup. It shows that

Both teams are leaning on their core to try to win the Presidents Cup. Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa and Patrick Cantlay will play all 5 sessions this week for the U.S. Adam Scott, Hideki Matsuyama and Sungjae Im will play 5 for the International Team,

“They kicked a lot of ass out there.” A cohesive core was key to the U.S. Presidents Cup win. Scottie, Xander, Collin and Cantlay were the best players on paper, on the course and in the team room, driving decisions that made Jim Furyk’s job easier: pgatour.com/article/news/l…

I’ve always enjoyed Kyle’s unique take on this game and all its inanity. I’m glad we will still be able to read his writing at Normal Sport. Do yourself a favor and sign up at normalsport.com.

This was a great watch on the Korn Ferry Tour Class of 2014 that featured JT, Homa, Finau and more. Kevin Prise’s accompanying story is a fantastic read, as well. The story and full video are now up on PGATOUR dot com.
