👉 New #COVID19 #antiviral: S-892216, a 2nd-gen 3CLpro inhibitor, is ~10× more potent than Nirmatrelvir, needs no ritonavir & has a favorable but not absolute resistance profile. In mice, it suppresses SARS-CoV-2 at 30× lower doses than ensitrelvir. Clinical trials ongoing.
