2023 was a terrible year for Ofsted. Shortcomings in leadership, management, processes and professionalism were all too evident. Let’s hope 2024 sees lots of new faces and a more thoughtful, effective and humble approach.

Not sure this has been reported in the outside world, but a few days ago Egypt devalued its currency by 30%. Traffic through the Suez Canal has plummeted with the attacks. The crisis in Gaza has scared tourists away, hence the moored up cruise boats. They desperately need income.
