#WexhamParkHospital got a special visit from Humboldt penguins, Widget, Pringle and Two-dots earlier this week 🐧 🐧 🐧 Children from the paediatric ward & nursery got to meet & greet the penguins, followed by staff who all made a fuss of our new feathered friends! Patient Experience

Thank you to the John Ackroyd Trust for their involvement in our Dementia appeal! It allowed us to purchase fantastic Dementia friendly picture books. We were also able to buy Dementia clocks - their simple design & high contrast display is recognisable by Dementia patients.

We have been taking part in Alzheimer's Society #DementiaActionWeek this week to raise awareness of symptoms to help improve dementia diagnosis rates. We had visits from Pets As Therapy, 'ADS' - Alzheimers Dementia Support Charity, Whitebourne Care Home & musicians, and patients enjoyed an indoor tea party!
